UCSC Art History Professor Jasper Rose discusses his life prior to teaching at the University of California Santa Cruz, where he taught Art History, Art, and History at Cowell College and Porter College. Jasper grew up in England, and was a student and teacher at King's College at Cambridge University.

Jasper went on to teach briefly at Rice University in Texas, where he met Psychology Professor Bert Kaplan, who convinced him to join the brand new UC Santa Cruz faculty in 1965. In this video Bert poses questions to Jasper about the experiences that formed the ultra extraordinary Jasper Rose persona.

This video was created and moderated by Bert Kaplan, and later edited by Jack Daley.
